📅 When are Barahnaja Himalayan apples available?


Our Himalayan apples are a seasonal harvest and are generally available from September onwards. As this is a limited mountain harvest, availability lasts only for a short part of the year and depends on orchard readiness.

📍 Where are your Himalayan apples grown?

Our apples are grown in Himalayan orchards of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand, where the fruit matures naturally through the mountain growing season before being harvested, packed and dispatched.

📦 What is the difference between Selected, Medium and Value apple boxes?

All three boxes contain apples from the same Himalayan harvest. The main difference is fruit size and count. A 4.7–5 kg Selected box contains approximately 20–25 apples, the Medium box contains around 30–35 apples, and the Value box contains around 40 apples.

Each apple box contains approximately 4.7–5 kg of apples. The exact number of apples varies depending on the size grade of the box selected.

🚚 When are the apples harvested and dispatched?

For every apple harvest, we clearly mention a harvest and dispatch window on the product page. Once the window begins, our team travels to the orchard, the apples are carefully hand-harvested and moved to our packing facility in Dehradun. Each order is then sorted and packed individually before dispatch. From plucking at the orchard to final dispatch, this process usually takes around 4–7 days. This allows us to harvest in planned batches and handle every box carefully rather than keeping pre-packed fruit waiting for orders.

🍎 Why can the color and appearance of the apples vary during the season?

Our apple sizes are graded before packing, so the size you order is the size we dispatch. For example, our Selected grade is packed with apples in the 82–85 mm size range.

What naturally changes through the season is the color, shade and sweetness of the fruit. Early-season Royal Delicious apples are typically bright red, and we aim for around 95% red color coverage. As the season progresses into October and November, the fruit naturally develops deeper, darker color and greater sweetness as it continues to mature on the tree.

These differences are not manufacturing variations—they are simply the result of weather, altitude, maturity and the natural progression of the Himalayan apple season.
